Susanne Krell. Born in Betzdorf/Sieg, the artist presented her works in a vast number of solo exhibitions and group shows, not only in Germany, but also in Poland, Italy, France, Russia, China, Taiwan. At the basis of her work is a technique of rubbing with crayon a sheet of paper pressed onto a stone.
“9/11 – Fifty-seven other possibilities” is an installation combining rubbings from 57 historically and culturally relevant locations worldwide arranged in two sets, “Tapestry” and “Airplane”, surrounding the centre of the installation, i.e. the rubbing from Ground Zero in New York.
