Socio-ecological Transformation and Energy Policy
From 11th to 14th of July 2012, 70 scientists, activists and politicians from Latin America and Europe met in Vienna to discuss what emancipatory social-ecological transformation mean concretely, and, in terms of practical policy, particularly in the area of energy resources and their production, distribution and consumption – today and in future.
On the basis of concrete experiences in energy struggles in Europe and Latin America, some key emancipatory issues for a socio-ecological transformation were successfully highlighted.
The seminar was a milestone in a process and in a new project of Rosa Luxemburg Foundation Brussels addressing the issue of socio-ecological transformation analytically, in terms of political strategy, and by reference to examples.
